If a student needs to be able to login into their chromebook at home, it is fine to print out a Clever Badge and send one for home use.

Getting Your Students Badge Printed
If you need help getting a spare badge printed, start here. If you already have one or know how then you can skip this.
Badge Security
Clever Badges are functionally the same thing as a password. It's important to explain this to students and families so that they understand the importance of keeping track of the badge, and notifying the school if a badge is lost so it can be deactivated in your clever portal.
Worthwhile Reminders for Families
- Badges are (as far as privacy/security is concerned) the same as a password, and should be treated as such
- If a badge is lost/destroyed it should be made known to the school so it can be deactivated by the teacher
- Only the student whose account the badge belongs to should have access to/be able to use it
- Clever badges do nothing with basic QR code readers, they will only function on Clever logins specifically
- If a student is no longer needing to use their chromebook at home, they can either bring back their home-use badge or discard it and notify the teacher so it can be deactivated
